ZAMFARA APC CHIEFTAIN AHMAD SHARU ANKA DUMPS APC, JOINS ADC
Alleges Lack of Unity, Injustice, Neglect_
A prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State, Hon. Ahmad Sharu Anka (Talban Anka), has resigned his membership of the party.
Hon. Anka announced his resignation in a letter dated 19th October, 2026, addressed to the APC Ward Chairman, Galadima Ward, Anka Local Government Area.
In the letter, titled _”Notice of Resignation from All Progressive Congress (APC) and Joining of African Democratic Congress (ADC)” Hon. Anka formally notified the party of his decision to withdraw his membership with immediate effect, and his decision to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to carry out his political activities.
According to him, the decision was taken after careful consideration, deep reflection and consultations with his political associates, supporters and well-wishers.
He said the step became necessary due to certain developments within the APC, particularly lack of unity, injustice, denial of equal opportunity for members to participate meaningfully in party affairs, neglect and failure to recognize the contributions and sacrifices made by some loyal party members.
“Despite my contribution, commitment, loyalty, sacrifices and contribution towards the growth and success of the APC, recent developments have made it difficult for me to continue my political activities under the platform of the party,” the letter stated.
Hon. Anka is one of the influential grassroots politicians in Anka and Zamfara West Senatorial District.
