_Party says Gusau Airport, roads, health, education projects make 2027 campaign easier_
*GUSAU* – The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has resolved to work in synergy with Governor Dr. Dauda Lawal’s administration to consolidate what it described as the governor’s “positive footprints” across the state.
The party made the declaration on Friday, June 26, 2026, during a maiden courtesy visit of its executive members to the governor at Government House, Gusau.
Leading the delegation, the State APC Chairman, Hon. Kabiru Moyi Birnin Magaji, said the party has been monitoring the governor’s interventions with “keen interest” and is impressed with the impact in various sectors.
According to him, flagship projects such as the Gusau International Airport, road networks, healthcare, and educational facilities have “made it easier for the party to package and market” the governor to the electorate ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Hon. Birnin Magaji added that the projects have also positioned the APC to vigorously campaign for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and other party candidates in 2027.
“We pledge that the party will continue to serve as a bridge between the people and government to enhance peaceful coexistence. We also appeal to Your Excellency to assist the party to function optimally,” the chairman stated.
Responding, Governor Lawal emphasized the need for unity and synergy between the government and the party. He said only a common purpose can sustain the gains already recorded.
The governor urged the party leadership to develop strategies to sanitise the political space, particularly with the growing involvement of youths in politics. He assured them that his administration would align such strategies with government policy to achieve set objectives.
“My doors will always remain open for the party and its leadership to offer useful suggestions for the upliftment of our state and its people,” Governor Lawal said.
