The Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, His Excellency, Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar, has led a high-powered delegation on a consultation visit to Kebbi State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Senator Yari, who is the former Governor of Zamfara State and Senator representing Zamfara West, was accompanied by the Governor of Zamfara State, Dr. Dauda Lawal and other distinguished political leaders.
The delegation was received by the Governor of Kebbi State, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, at the Government House, Birnin Kebbi.
Earlier, Governor Nasir Idris accompanied the delegation on a courtesy visit to His Royal Highness, the Emir of Gwandu, Alhaji Muhammadu Iliyasu Bashar, where they were joined by the Emirs of Argungu, Yauri and Zuru. The engagement provided an opportunity for the delegation to interact with the revered traditional rulers and seek their prayers and wise counsel.
During discussions at the Government House, Governor Idris emphasised the importance of unity, cooperation and sustained engagement among political stakeholders. He also highlighted the significance of the working relationship between Kebbi State and the Federal Government, particularly in advancing development initiatives and addressing the needs of the people.
Governor Idris appreciated Senator Yari and members of his delegation for the visit, as well as the royal fathers for their warm reception and invaluable counsel.
He prayed that Almighty Allah would continue to bless Kebbi State and Nigeria with lasting peace, unity and prosperity.
