A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara state, Hon. Umar S. Fada Moriki was allegedly assassinated by gunmen who were thought to be bandits.
According to sources, the incident happened early on Saturday, November 15, 2025, as the politician was traveling to Kano at the Tsafe railway crossing.
The source also attests to the fact that the alleged bandits also injured a large number of travelers and kidnapped yet unknown number
Hon. Umar S. Fada Moriki was a strong politician in Zamfara state and has contested for a Federal House of Representatives seat in the Zurmi and Shinkafi Constituency in the 2023 general election, but he was defeated in the second round.
Security agencies in the state are yet give confirmation on the attacked but, the Nigerian Air Force has in the early hours of today Saturday 15 November, 2025 issued a statement signed by, Ehimen Ejodame

The funeral prayer was scheduled to hold at low cost Jumu’at Mosque in Gusau the Zamfara state capital by 4:30pm of today Saturday, November 15, 2025.
