SENATOR ABDULAZIZ YARI ABUBAKAR MARAFAN SOKOTO COMMISSIONED ROAD PROJECTS IN SOKOTO
Former governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West Senatorial District, Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Marafan Sokoto) has commissioned over four billion naira projects executed by the incumbent Governor of Sokoto state, Alhaji Ahmad Aliyu, PhD.
The projects commissioned by the Marafan Sokoto includes, Mabera Township Roads in the Sokoto metropolitan city and the recently built Jumu’at Mosque in Gawon Nama area of Sokoto state.
Speaking in a grand ceremony held in Sokoto Friday October 31, 2025 as part of the events marking the governor’s two years in office, Senator Abdulaziz Yari credits previous governor Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko for his guidance and support in achieving the desired goals.
He promised to accept invitations whenever necessary and expressed pride in the accomplishments of Sokoto State Governor Ahmed Aliyu.
Alhaji Ahmed Aliyu, the executive governor of Sokoto state, thanked the former governor of Zamfara for accepting the invitation in spite of his busy schedule.
He said that the development of the Mabera Township Road and other projects at different sites has cost his administration a total of four billion, four hundred thousand.
He further stated that his administration is prepared to carry on with such admirable initiatives that have an impact on society.
