Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar, former governor of Zamfara state and senator representing Zamfara West Senatorial District, has begun distributing cows to ten thousand orphans in Zamfara state.
The committee’s secretary, Liman Sanusi Liman Dan Alhaji, made the statement today in Gusau while purchasing cows at Kara market, in Gusau.
He stated that each of the 19 Emirates in Zamfara will receive three cows for 500 selected orphans while Gusau, which has 1000 orphans, will receive six cows.
According to Liman Sanusi, the former Governor had earlier delivered assorted foodstuffs amounting to 17 trucks to 10,000 selected orphans, as well as clothing and a token for suing.
