A Tribunal Panel for Sokoto/Zamfara Houses of Assembly re-run elections 2024 has been constituted.
This was informed by the President of the Court of Appeal, Hon. Justice M.B Dongban Mensem, CFR via a circular he duly signed, dated 2nd of February, 2024 and addressed to the Chief Judge of High Court of Justice, Sokoto State.
According to the circular, the Constitution of the Appeal Tribunal was persuant to Section 285 (b) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended) and Paragraph 1 (1,2,3) to the sixth schedule of the Constitution.
The circular also stipulates that the constitution of the appeal Panel was in compliance with section 130 (3 (a)(b) of the Electoral Act, 2022.
As contained in the circular, the President of the Court of Appeal, Hon. Justice M.B Dongban Mensem, appealed to the Chief Judge of High Court of Justice, Sokoto State to facilitate for Court Halls for Members of the Panel in two respective states, as well as office accommodation for the official conduct of staff of the Panel.
