Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN, Zamfara state chapter has inaugurated a seven members committee for its planned media cup competition in the state.
Secretary of the state chapter, Daniel H Dogon Yaro made this known in a statement issued in Gusau shortly after the association meeting today, Wednesday May 24.

The Zamfara State chapter of Sport Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has inaugurated a sevien man Local Oganising Committee to conduct a hitch free Media challenge Cup in the state.
Those inaugurated are,
- Dahiru Samaila Mafara, Chairman Aminu Abubakar Mayanhi , Co – Chairman
- Adeyeni K Salaudeen member
- Representive from FA, Member
- Representative from Zamfara Sport council, Member
- Husainni Gambo, Member
- Abubakar Tsalha Almajir, Secretary
According to the chairman of the state chapter, Murtala Rabiu Dabbakal the committee was mandated to organize a hitch free competition and ensure all the relevant stakeholders of the association are adequately inform.
Rabiu further stated that, activities will commence from Thursday, 25th May, 2023 with groupings in which all heads of media organizations are expected to grace be around at the NUJ Press Center by 11am prompt.
