Medical Doctors from the Federal Medical Center, FMC Gusau have paid a solidarity visit to former Governor Dr Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar at his residence in Talata Mafara.
Explaining the rationale behind the visit, head of the delegation and chairman of Medical Doctors in FMC, Dr. Hussaini Haruna said the solidarity visit was a multi purpose one.
Dr. Hussaini Haruna stated that they embarked on the visit to rejoice with the former governor for successfully given out his daughters for marriage.
He further noted that they went to wish him well and to pray for his success in the forthcoming 2023 general elections and to also express their profound gratitude for allocating houses to fellow FMC Medical Doctors in Gusau when he was in power as the state governor .
Dr. Hussain said though when Yari was in power the houses were not completed, but they are now completed, allocated to them.
He disclosed that very soon they will vacate in, stressing that the estate maybe named after the former Governor.
Dr. Hussain said Yari deserves every commendation, therefore wished him success in all his endeavors.
Among the important personalities during the courtesy visit are, the state Commissioner of Health, Alhaji Aliyu Abubakar MC and the Permanent Secretary, office of the former Governor, Alhaji Sa’ad Muhammad Faruk.
In his response, Yari expressed appreciation to the delegation for the visit, describing them as critical stakeholders.
He charged them to be more patriotic and to support state government policies and programs, especially concerning the health sector.
The former governor assured the visiting team of his unflinching support and cooperation.
