In an effort to reduce hardship among society, zamfara state zakat collection, distribution and Endownment Board has graduated 230 orphans and disabled people to make them self reliant.
This was disclosed by the executive chairman of the board Malan Ibn Muhammad Abubakar sodangi during graduation ceremony of beneficiaries held at zakat and Endownment conference Hall in Gusau recently.
According to him Over 24 million was spent for both male and female participants, the board distributed 110 computers set while 120 participants trained on cosmetology received monetary assistance to start business.
The Chairman therefore commended the gigantic effort of Governor Dr Bello Muhammad matawale maradun for his commitment towards adding the measure will eliminate begging by Almajiris on the state .
In another development during graduation ceremony,a reknown Islamic scholar Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa gave a brief sermon on the importance of zakat and Endownment and it’s impact toward human Empowerment.
Daurawa reminded the philantroppics in the state to gave out zakat and Endownment according to the teaching of islam for good reward here and there after.
He also advised board to redouble their efforts by creating more ways of generating zakat and Endownment for peace and security to restore in the state and nation at large
In his remarks, special Guest of Honour His Excellency Dr Bello Muhammad matawale maradun who was represented by his Deputy Senator Hassan Muhammed Nasiha Called on the beneficiaries to use the gesture and ensure thay become self reliant.
He stated that his administration will continue to provide proper consideration for orphans and less privileged adding that recently our government start with new programme called empowerment youth and earmarked 50 people to 147 wards to receiving 10,000 thousand each with a view to reduce poverty and alleviation among people the state.

thanked the state Governor Dr Bello Muhammad matawale maradun Bardan kasar Hausa for provided more support towards improving activities of the board in the state.
