The Commissioner of Police, Zamfara State Command, CP Ayuba N. Elkanah has tasked the newly promoted officers in the Command to put more commitment and professionalism in the discharge of their duty.
CP Elkanah made the call on Wednesday while decorating the newly nineteen promoted Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) to the substantive rank of Superintendents of Police (SPs).
The Commissioner who was assisted in the decorations by the Deputy in charge of Operations, DCP Dauda Mamman psc and DC Department of Finance and Administration, DCP Olugbenga Adepoju, psc, mnips, congratulated the newly promoted officers and charged them to reciprocate the gesture by being committed to their responsibility.
The CP further thanked the Inspector General of Police, and the Police service Commission for the promotion and other welfare initiative to officers and men of the Nigeria Police.This according to the CP will go a long way in boosting the morale the personnel and enhancing their service delivery.
According to a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, SP Mohammed Shehu, among other promoted officers are,

- SP Sadiq Umar, O/C Highway Patrol,
- SP Sadiq Mohammed, staff officer senior (SOS),
- SP Babangida Abubakar, P&G OPs, among others. In a vote of thanks on behalf of other promotees, SP Babangida Abubakar expressed appreciation to the IGP and Police service commission for the promotion, and promised to reciprocate the gesture through hard work , commitment and in line with professional ethics and international best practices. The decoration ceremony was attended by members of the management team, other senior Police officers of the command.
