Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara state has assented to the law passed by the State House of Assembly, prescribing death penalty for bandits, informants and cultists.
Similarly, anyone found to be aiding and abetting the crimes mentioned is liable to life imprisonment, 20 or 10 years imprisonment without an option of fine depending on the level of his or her involvement.
The Governor further assured the people of Zamfara that his administration is determined to go to any length within the ambits of the law in order to secure the state and restore peace.
