Former Governor of Zamfara state and the immidiate past Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar has today picks nomination form for the national championship race ahead of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) convention slated for March 26.
The delegation that obtained the nomination form was led by Senator Tijani Yahaya Kaura with membership of Ibrahim Muhammad Birnin Magaji and Hon. Umar Jibo Bukkuyum an elected members for House Representatives representing Kaura/ Birnin Magaji and Gummi Bukkuyum Federal Constituencies before the Supreme Court judgement that turndown their victories in 2019 election.
Other members of the delegation include, former House of Rep. Hon Sani Takori Gummi,
Hon Mouktar Lugga, Engr Abdullahi
AbdulKarim Tsafe and
Ikira Aliyu Bilbbis among others.
Addressing newsmen at the APC SECRETARIAT after obtaining the nomination form, Senator Kaura told newsmen that the former governor is a party man, capable of holding any political Office, and that the national chairmanship position is zoned to the Northern region.
Alhaji Sabi’u Bello, Assistant Director, office of the National Organising Secretary at the APC National Headquarters, Abuja presented the nomination form.
