The Secretary to the Zamfara state Government (SSG), Alhaji Kabiru Balarabe (Sardaunan Dan Isa), and six other personality have been awarded with distinguished award of excellent by the Faculty of Humanities Yusuf Maitama Sule University, Kano.
A statement by the Press Secretary, office of the Secretary to the state government, Idris Salisu said the Award was bestowed on the SSG along with other six important personality on Monday during the University 2nd International Conference held at Professor Hafiz Abubakar Auditorium Kano.
The Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Mukhtar Atiku Kurawa in his speech, said the Faculty decided to award the important personalities for their recognition of their selfless services to humanity.
According to him, “each of the awardees has in one way or the other contributed immensely to the community of their respective places and the nation, and this has made the organizers of this important Institution to fish them out and recognized them with this important Award”.
Among the personalities that were recognized for the university award along with Secretary to Zamfara state Government Alhaji Kabiru Balarabe (Sardaunan Dan Isa) includes; the wife of Kano state Governor Prof. Hafsah Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and Sadiyya Umar Farouq Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development.
Others are Senator Ai’sha Dahiru Ahmed Binani Senator representing Adamawa Central District, Alhaji Abdussamad Isyaka Rabiu CEO, BUA Group of Company, Prof. Shehu Ahmed Said Galadanci former Nigerian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Barrister Inuwa Ibrahim Waya GGM Shipping NNPC.
The Secretary to the state Government Alhaji Kabiru Balarabe (Sardaunan Dan Isa), the recipient of the Award was represented at the occasion by the permanent Secretary Cabinet Affairs Alhaji Lawal Hussein (Phd) and accompanied by the Director of Finance Cabinet Affairs Alhaji Bashir Abdullahi and Director SSG’s office Bello Umar Jabaka.
