Democracy is all about people, by the people and for the people.
The beauty of any democratic setting is embedded in good representation of a nucleolus society at local, state and national issues.
However, under democratic arrangements, representation is said to be good, only if it is ushered by what is generally understood as “dividend of democracy”
In Nigeria, only very few politicians have the compassion, determination and the political will can give their people the much needed attention through providing dividends of good representation to their door steps.
One of the young, vibrant and people driven politicians in Zamfara State is the House of Representatives Member representing Bungudu/Maru Federal Constituency, Hon. Abdul malik Zubairu (Zannan Bungudu)
Hon. Abdulmalik Zubairu is among the young, but credible popular politicians in Zamfara State who has been working round the development of his constituency and giving prompt attention to the well being of his constituents.
As part of his commendable projects and development initiatives for his constituents, Zannan Bungudu has constructed a state of the art hospital in the ancient city of Bungudu for benefit of the community, especially women and children which he named as “Zubairu Bawa Women and Children Community Hospital (ZBWCCH)”
It is not an exaggeration to state that effort of Zannan Bungudu for the establishment of the hospital in Bungudu is absolutely worthy of commendation and very timely.
By the scope and the artistic nature of the hospital, it is amazing that it is a gigantic project personally undertaken not any arm of government, but by a patriotic and courageous individual as part of his strides towards delivering the much needed dividend of democracy to the door steps of his constituents.
The hospital is set for commissioning and kick starting clinical operations this coming Saturday, 25th November, 2023.
What is so exciting about the hospital, is that it has been well equipped with ultra modern facilities, qualified health personnel and departmentally organized according to medical complexities of modern types of facilities.
ZBWCCH has:
- MATERNITY UNIT: for pregnant women and women in labour.
- LABORATORY UNIT: for scientific examination of blood and other laboratory tests.
- DIALYSIS UNIT: where a very expensive machines are used for dialysis.
- OPERATION UNIT: where surgical operations are done
- DENTAL UNIT: A clinic for dental problems
- RADIOLOGY: for radiographic xrays and scan pictures.
- Ante Natal Care (ANC) Unit
8.OXYGEN THERAPY UNIT: for dispensing of oxygen gas
Moreover, the hospital is to some extents a digital based hospital as it is “paperless”, meaning that all operations are done through electronic devices, and it also would operate a “Cashless Policy”, meaning that online banking/online money transfer will be applied
It is expected that the inauguration of the hospital will be done by the Distinguished Senator for Zamfara West Senatorial zone and former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Abdulaziz Abubakar Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara).
