Alhaji Nasiru Faru, a former councilor in Zamfara state’s Maradun local government area, was reportedly killed by bandits.
According to a family source, Nasiru and two of his friends were abducted on Friday of last week.
After receiving two million naira as ransom, they then requested that the relatives that brought the ramson should leave the jungle right away and bring more cash before they would free him.
The information of his killing was recieved through other victims who were abducted from Sauna and freed upon payment of Ramson, verified that Alhaji Nasiru and two other people had been executed in front of them.
The late Alhaji Nasiru left behind 25 children, four spouses, and other relatives.
