Two suspects are now police net suspected to have rustled 18 cows, goats and sheep in Zamfara state.
This was disclosed by the Zamfara state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Mohammad Shehu in a press statement.
Those arrested in connecting with the rustling are Umar Abdullahi aged 32 and Sani Musa aka Dangodal 55, while the third collaborator, Yahaya aka Chairman is now at large.
According to the police statement, the arrest was carried out last Friday while working on an intelligence report when a Toyota bus loaded with animals was intercepted the rustlers attempted to abandon their vehicle to run off, but luck was against them.
The rustled animals, the statement added, include 18 cows, 3 goats and a sheep.
The suspects are now undergoing police investigation which might lead to the arrest of their collaborators.
Similarly, the command had also arrested a member of “Sara suka” gang terrorizing people in Gusau and snatching of handsets in the state.
The suspect, Arabi Lawali aged 23 was arrested during a police patrol and he has confessed to the heinous activity.
Investigation is ongoing to fish out the culprit’s team members.
The statement noted that the state commissioner of police, CP Kolo Yusuf applauded people of Zamfara state for their unalloyed support and cooperation as well as the good working with other security agencies operating in the state.
