Six zonal senatorial liaison offices will be established each in Talata Mafara, Bakura, Maradun, Anka, Bukkuyum and Gummi local government areas in Zamfara West senatorial zone.
The newly emerged Senator elect for Zamfara West senatorial zone, former governor Abdulaziz Abubakar Yari gave the pledged assurance while responding to members of Bakura Development Forum who paid him a congratulatory visit at his residence in T/Mafara.
Yari thanked members of the forum for the visit and expressed gratitude to people of Bakura local government for their contributions, which he said, translated into his victory during the last Saturday’s election.
He disclosed that he has a blue print and master plan for the his constituents, but called for more unity as no meaningful development could be achieved .
He noted that he will consult stakeholders in the zone with a view to identify people who are qualified for appointment as liaison officers to effectively manage the proposed zonal liaison offices in the respective 6 local government areas.
More so , the Senator elect pledged to create avenues for indigenes from the senatorial zone to be absorbed in the federal civil service.
Earlier in his introductory remarks, chairman of Bakura Development Forum, Alh. Mustapha Rabiu Bakura, said the congratulatory visit was imperative as the election victory is not for the Senator elect, but for Bakura local government area and the Zamfara West senatorial zone in general.
Mustapha further said the zone and the entire Zamfara state would never forget the solid physical development spread across by the Senator elect when he was in power as the state governor.
According to Mustapha the eight years of unprecedented development projects such as water supply, electricity, education, health and roads constructions executed by Yari within the 8 years of his administration could be not ordinarily be imagined for50 years in future.
Mustapha urged the Senator elect to be good ambassador of the zone in the National Assembly and prayed for him to become the next Nigeria’s Senate President.
