With the increasing influx of defectors from other political parties in the state, the All Progressives Congress, APC in Zamfara state has constituted a 25 member defectors coordinating committee.
The state APC Gubernatorial Campaign Council Secretary General, Prof. Abdullahi Muhammad Shinkafi made the disclosure via a press statement.
According to the GCC Secretary General, the constitution of the committee which has 25 members, became necessary in view of the overwhelming number of people who cross carpet from other political parties to the ruling APC in the state.
Defection of people into the party has been concurrent since the commencement of the party’s gubernatorial campaign rallies.
According to Prof. Shinkafi the defection galore of significant politicians and their supporters from other parties to the state APC must not be unconnected with the peace driven and progressive leadership of Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle
The composition of the 25 member committee has Senator Tijjani Yahaya Kaura and Hon. Muttaka Rini as Chairman and Secretary respectively.
Members are Ambassador Abubakar Hussain Moriki, Hon. Tukur Umar Danfulani, Hon. Lawali M. Liman, Hon. Muhammad Sani Takori, Hon. Ibrahim Umar Dangaladima, Hon. Sani Musa Talata Mafara, Hon. Ibrahim Muhammad B/Magaji, Hon. Isah Abdulmumini.
Some are Hon. Abubakar S/Pawa Dambo, Hon. Ibrahim maaji Gusau, Hon. Babangida Abdullahi Anka, Mallam Yusuf Idris Gusau, Hajiya Aisha Waziri and Hajiya Saude Hashim
Others include Alh. Hassan Marafa Damri, Alh. Abdullahi Jao Zurmi, Alh. Lawali Abubakar Makaman Kaura and Alh. Abu Zahara .
The rest members of the committee are Alh. Sahalu S/Pawa Mafara and Alh. Abubakar Nagoggo T/Mafara,
