Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi state has given approval for disbursement of palliatives to people across the state to cushion the effects of Naira redesigning and fuel scarcity.
In a press release signed and issued by the Secretary to the state Government, Alh. Babale Umar Yauri (mni), noted that the gesture cuts across all sectors of human development.
According to the release, the sum of 530 million Naira has been approved for the procurement of 15,000 bags of rice to be sold to people at 50% subsidy.
In order to ease transportation of people and goods in the state, the statement added that the government has approved 50 million Naira for members of the state branch of NURTW, 20 million Naira for motorcycles operators and 10 million for members of Keke Napep operators association in the state.
For a long run planning on food sufficiency in the state, the statement further disclosed that the sum of 200 million has been earmarked for the dry season farmers for vast agricultural production.
In the same vein, another 200 million Naira has been approved to enhance healthcare delivery at the Primary Healthcare Centers, PHCs, accompanied with essential drugs and other hospital consumables distributable to people with or without money.
The statement further maintained that the state governments has engaged various groups in a move to pave more ways of supporting the state populace which it said, is the focal point of Governor Bagudu led administration.
