FELICITATION WITH SULTAN OF SOKOTO@16 YEARS ON THRONE
I wish to humbly and most profoundly start with tremendous gratitude to the Almighty Allah (SWA) for sparing our mortal lives to witness this epochal day when you as the highly revered 20th Sultan of Sokoto, marks 16 years on the throne of your ancestors, the legendary and pious Founders of the Sultanate Council of Sokoto.
Going memory lane, you happily and deservedly ascended the throne of your forbears on the 2nd of Nov. 2006, sequel to the death of the 19th Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammadu Maccido in the ill-fated ADC Airlines, Abuja-Sokoto bound flight 53 and other several other illustrious sons of the state. May their gentle souls rest in perfect peace, in Aljannat Firdaus, Ameeen ya Hayyu ya Qayyum.
It is really a joyous moment as Your Eminence Sir, your reign has indeed been very momentous and eventful, with myriad positive developments recorded in the state, Nigeria and the world. Your Eminence Sir, you are such an iconic traditional ruler, plenipotentiary, whose impact and sphere of influence know no bound.Your Eminence Sir, you have indeed become a household name in Nigeria and beyond as an accomplished and renowned peace maker, bridge builder, unifier, benefactor and core philanthropist, among other sterling virtues that are unquestionably worthy of emulation.
It is also noteworthy that you always bluntly tell the truth, not minding whose ox is gored. Your penchant for sustainable peace and unity, as well as the restoration of security is unparalleled. While congratulating you as an untiring disciplinarian on this historic occasion, I wish to humbly urge you to use your good offices to ensure the conduct of successful 2023 general polls. I am also calling on you to appeal to the conscience of the candidates and the political parties to conduct violence-free issues-based campaigns.
There is also the need to continue preaching to the youth who boasts of a demographic advantage as the most populous in the country should to avoid drugs and other harmful substances. As the future leaders of Nigeria and the world they should not to allow themselves to be used by unscrupulous politicians as thugs who always cause the breach of the peace of the country.
His Eminence Sir, kindly prevail on the traditional rulers in the country to continue to remain apolitical, with a view to ensuring that they remain impartial fathers to all. They should also work towards ensuring the successful conduct of the forthcoming 2023 Census.
Your Eminence Sir, I am also dispassionately appealing to you to use your good offices to prevail on the wealthy individuals in the nation to assist the indigent citizens to cushion the crushing impact of the extant socioeconomic problems in the country occasioned by the contemporary global economic challenges. They can contribute to help on job creation for the teeming unemployment youths in the country, especially in skills acquisition. This will go along way in reducing the severity of the security and socioeconomic problems in the society.
Conclusively, Your Eminence Sir, as a loyal subject and your ardent fan, I wish to congratulate you once again on this historic day. I am also fervently praying to the Almighty Allah to continue to protect, bless and guide you aright. May your reign continue to record more firsts and glaring successes Your Eminence Sir. Allah ya ja zamani, ameen ya Hayyu ya Qayyum.
Yours Sincerely,
Zayyanu Aliyu
