Zamfara State Government has sworn_in new commissioner, special advisers and permanant secretary.
Presiding over the swearing-in ceremony
at Chamber One in the Government House Gusau, the State Deputy Governor, Senator Hassan Muhammad (Jarman Gusau) said, their appointments as commissioner, Special Advisers and Permanent Secretary by the administration of Governor Bello Matawalle are based on their track records, experience and contributions in different human endeavours for the development of the State.
Senator Hassan Muhammad Gusau urged the newly swering_in stakeholders to redouble efforts in discharging their official obligations and responsibilities and to be good ambassadors of the State Government and the entire people of Zamfara State.
He however charged them to fear Allah the Almighty and administer justice in all their undertakings.
He added that, Government would continue to adopt any possible strategy for monitoring and evaluating the performance of all government officials at all levels.
Senator Gusau also used the opportunity and briefed the large turnout of well-wishers that filled the hall on the continuous doggedness of His Excellency Dr Bello Muhammad Matawallen Maradun in restoring sustainable peace and security in the State.
According to him, he led a high-powered delegation of the State Government with a clear mission of addressing the few remnants of insecurity in Anka, Bukuyum and Gummi local government areas, emphasizing that the results would be in favour of all the parties involved and soon, people of the areas would continue with their normal farming and businesses activities.
The Deputy Governor, also called on the herders and farmers to respect one another and stop taking laws into their hands to avoid injustice which resulted in the unnecessary killing of innocent citizens and the destruction of their properties for just no course. He said Government would not take it lightly with anyone attempting to break the already laid down conditions for sustainable peace and security.
The State Chief Judge, Justice Kulu Isah Aliyu (OFR) administered the Oath of Office and that of Allegiance to the officials while State Grand Khadi administered the Oath of Banditry to all of them.
Among the people that sworn in are, Honourable Muhammad Abubakar Gummi was sworn in as Commissioner while Honourable Musa Zubairu Nasarawa Mailayi, Honourable Sambo Garba Marafa, Honourable Abdulkarim Mijinyawa, Honourable Muhammad Kabiru Rabiu and Honourable Bala Isah as Special Advisers, and Alhaji Muktar Bala was sworn in as Permanent Secretary.
In attendance at the swearing-in ceremony were the Secretary to the State Government, State APC Chairman, State Head of Service, Chief of Staff Government House, State Chief Judge, Honourable Commissioners, Honourable Members of the State House of Assembly, Special Advisers, Permanent Secretaries, Directors General, traditional rulers, politicians, among many other personalities.
