The Zamfara state Government has donated fifteen Million Naira and over two thousand, three hundred assorted bags of grains to IDPs in Anka, Bukkuyum and Gummi Local Government areas.
The state Governor, Dr Bello Muhammad (Matawallen Maradun) who was represented by his Deputy Senator Hassan Muhammad Gusau, stated this while sympathizing with armed banditry victims in the affected areas.
Addressing the people at the Emir’s palace in each of the three local government areas, the Deputy Governor said, his delegation was on a mission to deliver His Excellency’ Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle’s message of condolence as well as to sympathize with them over other issues of serious concern most especially insecurity bedeviling the areas, and the recent flooding experienced in some parts of Gummi local government.
Senator Hassan Muhammad Gusau reassured the three different congregations of the affected people that the State government is making a continuous effort to ensure a permanent solution to the security challenges affecting the State. He informed them that relative peace is now being enjoyed especially in the northern and central zones of the State while a continuous dialogue between the stakeholders in Anka, Bukuyyum and Gummi local government areas is currently ongoing, adding that it would soon yield a positive result.
The Deputy Governor directed the three Emirs and their respective Sole Administrators to ensure restructuring of all occupied grazing lands to their original status with a view to avoid clashes between herders and farmers.
He therefore announced the state government donation of five million naira to each of the three local governments in addition with seven hundred assorted bags of grains each for distribution to IDPs and other vulnerable people affected by the challenges of insecurity in the respective areas.

In their seperate responses on behalf of their people, the Emir of Anka Sarkin Zamfara Alhaji Attahiru Muhammad Ahmad, Emir Of Bukuyyum Sarkin Danko Alhaji Muhammad Usman and Alhaji Muhammad Dan Tukur who represented the Emir of Gummi Sarkin Mafara Gummi Justice Lawal Hassan Gummi (retired) thanked the State Executive Governor Dr, Bello Muhammad Matawalle for the due concern being shown by his administration to bring an end to all forms of security challenges, and also appreciated the gesture done to the IDPs at the appropriate time.
The Emirs called on their subjects to always remain law-abiding citizens and be supportive of government policies and programmes as the government is doing all it could to protect the lives and properties of all its citizens.
The Deputy Governor was accompanied on the visits by the Secretary to the State Government Alhaji Kabiru Balarabe (Lamido Kaura), State Head of Service Alhaji Kabiru Muhammad Gayari, Commissioners representing the areas and many other personalities.
