Former Governor of Zamfara State Abdul’aziz Yari has assured to support Governor Bello Matawalle to end banditry in the state.
Yari stated this in Talata Mafara on Tuesday during a stakeholders meeting with his supporters from Kaura Namoda, Shinkafi, Zurmi and Birnin Magaji local government areas of the state.
He stated that the reason for accepting reconciliation is beyond their personal benefits but for the betterment of the state.
According to him, the vast experience he acquired during his administration in the flight against banditry that brought in a lot of successes will be added to the ongoing efforts of the present administration of Governor Bello Matawalle to ensure peaceful Zamfara state.
The former Governor further called on his supporters to accept the reconciliation with good faith and ensure total support to the All Progressives Congress, APC from top to bottom.
