Former Governor Abdul’aziz Yari led faction of the All Progressives Congress, APC has today raised alarm over rampant attacks to the opposition.
In a statement issued in Gusau today signed by the chairman Publicity committee of Yari led faction of the party, Ibrahim Birnin Magaji Said the recent attack on Chairman Marafa led faction Social Media Forum, Shamsu Kasida by political thugs around government House is a source of concern to all peace loving, law abiding citizens of Zamfara state.

The Former Zamfara State Governor, Honorable Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) faction of All Progressives Congress is again constrained to voice out its earlier fear of the State being turned into a ‘Political War Theatre’ where thugs control the scene .
Chairman of the faction, Honorable Lawal M. Liman Gabɗon Ƙaura Namoda who made the assertion disclosed that the recent attack on The Chairman , Social Media Forum of Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa faction of APC, Malam Shamsu Shehu a.k.a Shamsu Ƙasida by Political thugs around Government House, Gusau in a broad day light should be a source of concern to all peace loving, law abiding citizens of the State .
According to him, the attack which was one of the many on those who don’t belong to the political ideology of the Government of the day in the State has confirmed the fears that all will not be well on the political scene in the near future if the Security Agencies refuse to contain it now.
Honorable Lawal M Liman explained that an issue like this if not properly respond to by the appropriate authorities could escalate in to a full blown crisis that will spell doom for the larger society .
He therefore called on the Security Agencies in the State to live above board in the onerous task of ensuring a crime – free Zamfara State.
The Chairman who sympathised with the victim, Malam Shamsu Ƙasida also described the attack ‘as undemocratic approach to political opposition’ , stressing that nobody can surpress the voice of the Opposition in a democratic dispensation no matter how he tries it.
