A pro- Yari group known as “Say Yes To Shaihi For Positive Change” has donated and distributed relief materials to Internally Displaced Parsons, IDPs located n various organized Camps in Anka Local Government area of Zamfara state.
The items which include clothing materials, mosquito coils, fares of shoes and body moisturizers were distributed to the IDPs at the various identified camps by the group, in collaboration with existing committee for receiving and distribution of relief packages to IDPs meant for the area.
Speaking during the distribution of the materials, chairman of the group, Mu’azu Yusuf Dangaladima said the decision to distribute the package by the group was borne out of its passion to emulate the good habit of their mentor, Hon. Abdul’aziz Yari Abubakar who was known for assisting people especially, the needy and less previllged ones in the society.
He said the group deemed it necessary, considering the present situation in which people are displaced from their various residences, and therefore the need for such relief packages became paramount.
No fewer than 150 women and children have benefited from the gesture.
The group was received during the distribution by the officials of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Anka Local Government chapter led by Alhaji Nasiru Yari and Alhaji Abdulmuminu Chiroman Anka, a party elder as well as Alhaji Bello Aliyu Sarkin Tsaftar Sarkin Zamfara.
It could be recalled that recently the group donated Malaria preventive medicines and other medicaments to IDPs, most especially children in Talata Mafara Local Government area of the state.
